Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Small Plant & Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Oldmeldrum. This is a permanent role working on a variety of small plant machinery and vehicles, ideal for someone with mechanical experience looking for a stable position with opportunities for progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing small plant machinery (e.g., mini diggers, rollers, generators) and vehicles

• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently

• Performing preventative maintenance and inspections

• Ordering parts and managing stock levels where necessary

• Maintaining workshop safety and organisation

• Following all health & safety procedures

• Assisting with general workshop duties as required

Key Requirements

• Previous experience as a mechanic, ideally with small plant and vehicles

• Strong mechanical skills and problem-solving ability

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good attention to detail and time management

• Full UK driving licence 

Desirable

• Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds)

• Experience working in a workshop or plant hire environment
