Financial Controller

Financial Controller | Derby | £70–80k | Hybrid

Activus Recruitment is working with a growing, engineering-led business delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK and they’re looking for a Financial Controller to join them at a key stage of growth.

This isn’t just a reporting role - you’ll be a true business partner, working closely with the Director to shape financial strategy, improve governance, and support commercial decision-making across live projects.

You’ll lead a team of 3, collaborate with Estimators, QS’ and Project Managers, and play a central role in driving performance across a fast-moving, project-led environment.

What they’re looking for:

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Background in construction or engineering
• Strong understanding of CIS and project-based finance
• Experience partnering with operational teams
• Confident leader who can support growth
