Activus Recruitment is working with a well-established engineering business specialising in the supply, rental, and servicing of powered lifting equipment and load measuring solutions. They are now looking to add a skilled and reliable Workshop/Mechanical Fitter to their established team in Oldmeldrum.
This opportunity would suit a mechanically minded individual who enjoys practical, hands-on work within a workshop environment and takes pride in assembling, testing, and repairing equipment to a high standard. You will be joining a business with a strong industry reputation and a genuine focus on safety, quality, and long-term development.
What You’ll Be Doing
Assembling, testing, and repairing air hoists and other lifting equipment
Identifying and rectifying faulty or damaged mechanical equipment
Working with pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems (advantageous)
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures
Working both independently and as part of an established team
What We’re Looking For
Time served Mechanical Engineer (or equivalent)
Previous experience repairing hoists or lifting equipment (advantageous, but not essential)
Experience with pneumatics or hydraulics desirable
Self-motivated with good problem-solving skills
Reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-focused
Comfortable working on your own initiative or within a team
