Location: South Manchester (applicants only from this location)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week (flexibility required, including occasional weekend work)
Salary: 
£30k rising to £32 on passing probation
Hours: 40 hours a week

Activus Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a well‑established, reputable, and growing cleaning services provider to recruit an experienced Account Manager.

The business has a strong track record of delivering high‑quality, customer‑focused cleaning solutions and continues to expand across the region. This role has been created to support ongoing growth and ensure the consistent delivery of a first‑class cleaning service to clients.


The Role
The Account Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of cleaning contracts across the South Manchester area.

This is a hands-on, operational role requiring regular site visits, strong staff engagement, and full oversight of service delivery. You will build long‑term client relationships, support on‑site teams, and ensure services meet agreed standards, compliance requirements, and customer expectations.

The role requires flexibility around business needs, with a 40-hour working week and occasional weekend working. Cleaning duties may be required as part of site support, operational cover, or business needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of cleaning contracts within the designated area
  • Ensure a consistently high standard of cleaning service delivery
  • Carry out regular site visits to monitor quality and performance
  • Provide hands-on staff support and operational oversight
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients
  • Lead, supervise, and support local cleaning teams
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, company procedures, and contractual requirements
  • Support operational needs, including cleaning duties when required
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients and resolve issues professionally
About You
  • Experience in a similar Account Manager role or within the cleaning industry is highly desirable
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs
  • Confident managing people, sites, and client relationships
  • Proactive, organised, and hands-on in approach
  • Comfortable working independently across multiple locations
  • Willing to support with cleaning duties when required
  • Full training will be provided, although previous experience in a similar role or within the cleaning industry would be beneficial
