Administration Assistant (Part-Time)

Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time (6–8 hours per week, flexible)
Activus Recruitment are seeking an Administration Assistant to join our client’s accounts team on a part-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills within a supportive and dynamic office environment.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who can work one full day per week or two half days per week, with flexibility around how these hours are structured.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Director, you will play a key role in supporting the accounts function and wider business with a range of administrative and financial tasks, including:
- Matching purchase orders with invoices
- Accurately inputting invoices into the system
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies both internally and externally
- Assisting with supplier payment runs
- Reconciling the purchase ledger
- Matching and processing concrete tickets and invoices
- Typing meeting minutes
- Providing general administrative support, including printing, scanning, and filing
- Supporting with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required
Personal Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in purchase ledger or basic accounting administration
- Good all-round administrative knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office
- The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn
Desirable
- Purchase ledger experience
- Knowledge of the construction industry
- HNC/HND in Business Administration or a related field
