Front of House Manager

Location: Aberdeen

Salary: Competitive (DOE) - Fixed Hourly Rate

Activus Recruitment are seeking an experienced Front of House Manager on behalf of our client based in Aberdeen. 
This is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader to take full responsibility for the front of house operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving customer service excellence, managing team performance, overseeing operational standards, and ensuring a first-class experience for all visitors and customers.

This role is ideally suited to an ambitious manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the ability to lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the front of house department and daily operations.
• Lead, manage and develop front of house staff to achieve exceptional service standards.
• Recruit, onboard, train and support team members.
• Manage staffing levels, rotas, holidays and absence management.
• Monitor departmental performance and implement service improvements where required.
• Handle escalated customer concerns and resolve issues effectively.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and company procedures.
• Monitor operational costs and assist with budget management.
• Prepare reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Build strong relationships with clients, customers and stakeholders.
• Ensure the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness and customer care are maintained at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Front of House Management role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience managing employee performance and development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working within a licensed venue would be advantageous.
• A valid Scottish Personal Licence and previous bar experience would be preferred.
