Front of House Supervisor

Activus Recruitment are seeking a Front of House Supervisor on behalf of our client based in Aberdeen.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and hands-on Supervisor to join a busy customer-facing environment. Reporting directly to the Front of House Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily shift operations, supporting team members, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service at all times.

The successful candidate will lead by example on the floor, assisting with the smooth running of operations while maintaining high standards across the front of house function.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise front of house staff during daily operations and shift periods.
• Support the Front of House Manager with the smooth running of the department.
• Act as the first point of contact for team members during shifts.
• Ensure customers receive a welcoming, professional and efficient service.
• Assist with training and mentoring new team members.
• Coordinate daily duties and delegate tasks effectively.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve minor issues promptly.
• Conduct opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation.
• Act as Duty Manager in the absence of the Front of House Manager when required.
• Support the team in delivering a positive customer experience and achieving operational objectives.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Front of House role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and support colleagues.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Positive and proactive attitude.
• Flexible approach to working hours and business needs.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
• Experience working within a bar, hospitality, or licensed premises environment would be advantageous.
• A valid Scottish Personal Licence and previous bar experience would be beneficial but are not essential.
