Activus Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with an established screed contractor based in the North East of Scotland. Operating nationwide, the company delivers high-quality screeding solutions across a diverse range of projects—from small residential extensions to multi-storey commercial developments.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and technically minded individual to join the team as a Technical Sales Manager. This role is ideal for someone looking to combine sales, estimating, and technical expertise while playing a key part in driving business growth and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across multiple sectors.

  • Deliver first-class customer service throughout the entire sales process.

  • Contribute to ongoing business development and market expansion.

Technical & Estimating Duties

  • Learn all aspects of estimating, including take-offs from construction drawings.

  • Prepare and submit tenders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

  • Develop a strong technical understanding of screed products and installation methods.

  • Log and manage tender enquiries effectively.

Project & Site Responsibilities

  • Attend site visits to take measurements, assess floor preparation, and support clients.

  • Manage projects from enquiry through to completion to ensure smooth delivery.

  • Procure materials, plant, and labour as required.

  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Administration

  • Maintain organised and accurate project documentation.

  • Support internal teams and management to ensure client satisfaction.


About You

  • Proven track record in sales, estimating, or business development.

  • High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Self-motivated and confident working independently with minimal direction.

  • Quarry / ready-mix experience advantageous but not essential.

  • Basic understanding of estimating beneficial; full training provided.

  • Strong customer service skills and professional telephone manner.

  • Computer literate and comfortable using relevant software.

  • Willingness to travel for site visits as required.

  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
