Salary: £20 – £25 per hour depending on individual experience

About the Role
Activus Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Farm & Estate business to recruit an experienced Mechanic to join their growing team. You’ll be working from a purpose-built workshop, delivering high-quality maintenance and repairs to a mixed fleet of machinery and vehicles.

Role Breakdown:

• Plant machinery – 40%

• Agricultural machinery – 40%

• Trucks/HGVs – 20%

A company van and fuel card are provided as part of the mobile fleet support package.

Key Responsibilities

• Working from a modern, custom-built workshop facility

• Carrying out general servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs across plant, agricultural and truck fleets

• Responding to breakdowns and providing mobile support where required (van provided)

• Ensuring all machinery is maintained to a high operational and safety standard

• Liaising with the operations team to prioritise work and manage fleet uptime

Requirements

• Proven mechanical experience with plant, agricultural machinery, and/or HGV/truck systems

• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively

Desirable (but not essential)

• HGV Licence

• Experience operating plant or agricultural machinery
